Building the rink in Tallberg

Here are some pictures from the hockey rink that some of Team Canada's fans built at our hotel in Tallberg. Some of the fans will be playing road hockey games starting at 11am swedish time tomorow.

Canada 6 USA 3

The first period was close as both teams felt each other out but as the game moved on Canada clearly became the better team as they walked away with a 6 - 3 win in Mora , Sweden last night. The win moves Canada to 2 wins and 0 losses. There next game is on the 29th where the play team Germany in a battle for top spot in group A. The Germans are also 2 - 0 with wins over the USA and Slovakia.

Today we have an off day so some of us will venture into Leksand for the day while others will go the opposite way to Mora for the day. Tonight we will come back for game 1 of the Tallberg road hockey league.

Canada starts off 1 - 0

Game 1 Germany 2 USA 1

Germany scored a quick goal wich beat the american goalie over the shoulder and held on for the 2-1 win. The americans rallied late in the 3rd to tie the game up but it was to late as the Germans scored early in the overtime to give them the win.

Game 2 Canada 2 Sweden 0

Swedens crowd tried to pump up the home team early but it was no use as Canada scored late in the first period to calm the Swedish crowd. Canada scored again in the 2nd and showed their defensive strength to take a 2 - 0 lead going into the 3rd period. A few good chances each way in the 3rd but that was it as Canada picked up the 2-0 win and starts the tournament off 1 - 0.

Tomorow

Canada plays USA tomorow and what is an important game for the americans. More to come tomorow !

The plane rides... Vancouver to Toronto to Frankfurt to Stockholm

Today was a long day ! We flew across Canada and Accross the Atlantic ocean. We got into our hotel about 4:30 pm Swedish time (7:30am victoria ) We were supposed to have dinner but went to bed and woke up around 1:30am on the 26th. Not much to talk about as the games dont start untill later on today. Here are some pictures from the trip to here, ill post some game pictures tonight.

Day 1 Victoria to Vancouver

Today we left our house at around 8:45 am or so. We arrived at the bus detpo downtown at 9am and was on the 10:00am bus to Vancouver.

At 11am the bus bored the Spirit of Vancouver Island. At about 2pm we arrive at Vancouver International Airport where we had a quick look around before finding a taxi to take us to our hotel ( about 10 mins away ).

After we got to the hotel we had a quick rest before heading off to get somthing to eat. Thats about all that happened today and tomorow we have to be at the airport at 4am for our flight from Vancouver to Toronto. After we get to Toronto we will fly from there to Frankfurt , Germany and then to Stockholm , Sweden.
